Talk:Delia Day

The BMEzine wiki claims fairly widespread speculation that she used the jury's views of the D/s lifestyle to cover up a murder; it would be fairly libellous to make such a claim, but would it be appropriate to document the existance of this claim? I know many people in the D/s scene are concerned with the fact that the judicial risks in a D/s relationship rest entirely with the dominant party, and while the foremost concern is the burden of proof with regards to consent (which is, in practice, almost always shifted to the defendant) there is also some concern over incidents like this, and it would be nice to be able to tie it in with a future article on that topic. - Zuiram asks:
- >"would it be appropriate to document the existence of this claim?"
- Since it is (by your own words) "speculation", I would say no.
- But now here's something I don't understand:
- (From the article):
- "Much speculation occurred online about what had happened between Travis and Susan Anton that resulted in her killing him. Some felt that she was not as happy as she had appeared, others thought it was an accident, and theories flew wildly."
- If she had a trial, why is there so much uncertainty about the events leading up to the killing? Isn't there a trial transcript? A court file with police reports? 24.6.66.193 23:28, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
