[edit] This ain't a spamming place

All right we know you love your school and your branch, but this page is to give information to everyone about the school , the society , the achievements, not personal goals and medals, please put your information according to the format already provided, ask for help if you don't know what you are doing.

[edit] Please Bear In Mind

I have been following this page over quite some time and it clearly going from bad to worse. It reads like a poor quality advertisement pamphlet; an ineffective one at that. It is a shame that the article is still 'Stub' class, although there are so many dipsites on the net and on wikipedia.

Please understand that this is not an article where you copy-paste material from specific DPS branch brochures. Please understand that wikipedia has a policy against 'POV' (Point of View) material. Have a look at articles related to Harvard or MIT and see that they are not filled with self-congratulating material or pompous proclamations about being the 'best of the best'.

It certainly feels good, as a dipsite, to view a page that proudly states "Dipsites Rock" but it is NOT a view that an informative, unbiased, encyclopedic article is supposed to put forth. Kindly refrain from trying to place your branch over the others or giving direct links to pages that have little relevance or mentioning how great so-an-so teacher or principal is. Some more suggestions for the article :

1. Change the picture to the 'Service before Self' motto with the torch instead of the 'Dipsites Rock' picture.

- DONE

2. Have only brief description of the branches on this page. If certain schools like RKP, VK, Mathura Road or even Pinjore for that matter have more material, make a separate article for those and link the pages to the descriptions on the main article page.

3. Change the name of the article from "Delhi Public School Society" to "Delhi Public Schools"

- It is called the DPS Society so just cant change it

4. List the different branches in the form of a table at the end of the article, instead of as a list with which the article starts.

- Done

5. Remove POV material and keep the descriptions as 'descriptive' as possible :)

[edit] Assessment

Serious amount of work has gone into this article, it is pretty much a B-Class article, although it has no references, so it is going to be start-class. High importance has been given aswell. Twenty Years 15:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:DpsLogoMed.gif

Image:DpsLogoMed.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
