[edit] Link to Deletion (genetics)
Deleterious genes are most certainly not the same thing as deleted genes. Gene deletion refers to the removal of genetic information from a chromosome, while a deleterious gene is simply a gene that has harmful effects on the organism possessing it. There is currently no article about deleterious genes (although perhaps there should be). I am rather new to Wikipedia and do not know the proper procedure for fixing this disambiguation. Can anyone help a bit? Thanks. Columbiabotany (talk) 01:06, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
