It was customary for Medrose and Pengelly to try to keep their respective bonfires going for as long as possible after November 5th. A corollary of this was that members of one party would sometimes attempt to hasten the flickering out of the other's bonfire. Whathojeeves 19:43, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
