Delta Air Transport (DAT) is an airline founded in 1967 and based in Belgium. A subsidiary of Sabena, it survived the folding of the latter in November 2001, and started trading first as SN Brussels Airlines and later as Brussels Airlines, taking over Sabena's IATA code. The company's official name and ICAO code is still DAT however.

[edit] History
The airline started its operations out of Antwerp Deurne Airport. After being bought over by Sabena, the operations were slowly transferred to Brussels Airport. Under the Sabena brand, DAT mainly flew to Northern Europe. In the late nineties, the whole fleet was replaced by Avro Jets. DAT survived the Sabena bankruptcy, and operated its first flight out of the vacated Brussels National Airport on 10 November 2001. The airline was taken over by SN Air Holdings and changed its trade name to SN Brussels Airlines on 15 February 2002. In march 2007, following the merger of SN Brussels Airlines with Virgin Express, DAT once again changed its trading name to Brussels Airlines.
