Delhi Junction (or Old Delhi Station) is the oldest railway station of Delhi city. It was built by the British, before independence. This has been an important railway station of the country, and complements the New Delhi railway station. Getting to Delhi Railway station is now easy with Delhi Metro. This station has railway lines from four directions:
- From Uttar Pradesh, East i.e. Ghaziabad side.
- From Haryana, North, i.e. Ambala, Karnal,Sonepat, Panipat, Chandigarh, Amritsar & Jammu, etc
- From West i.e , Kishanganj, Shakurbasti, Rohtak side

Just outside the railway station is a pre paid auto booth. If you are new then take an auto from this booth only and avoid touts.

The building is like a fort and was built by Britishers, in red colour.
