[edit] History

Dejoule was born roughly 500 years before Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. She was born at the very same moment of the death of the Guardian of the Pillar of Energy, and was chosen by the Pillars of Nosgoth to inherit that role. Dejoule served as the Guardian of the Pillar of Energy for about 500 years, from her birth after Vorador's assault on the Circle until her death at Kain's hands. As she grew older and learned to harness the powers granted to her by the Pillars, Dejoule discovered how to command boundless levels of energy. Because of the potentially lethal nature of her powers, Dejoule wore a cloak of thick, insulating material to direct her magics sufficiently and protect her close associates.

Dejoule was affected with insanity during Nupraptor's telepathic assault on the Circle following Ariel's death. She was the lover of Bane the Druid, Guardian of the Pillar of Nature, and together, along with Anacrothe the Alchemist, the newly depraved trio used the darkest powers under their command to create a twisted parody of nature in northern Nosgoth. They mutated the northlands into a volcanic wasteland and summoned up a magical fortress known as Dark Eden.

When Kain arrived at Dark Eden during his quest to eliminate the Circle of Nine, he confronted Dejoule, Bane and Anacrothe in the inner sanctum. Anacrothe summoned Malek to defend him, and disappeared. Kain summoned Vorador to fight Malek, then chased after Dejoule and Bane. Dejoule unleashed her powers over energy on Kain, but was soon overcome once and for all. Dejoule and Bane were the second and third Circle members killed on Kain's journey.

[edit] Trivia

Dejoule's name is a reference to the SI unit of energy, the Joule.
