The Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture (Chinese: Déhóng Dǎizú Jǐngpōzú zìzhìzhōu 德宏傣族景颇族自治州) is located in the west of Yunnan province in southwest China.

Dehong stretches 122 km (~73 statute miles) from east to west and 170 km (~103 miles) from north to south, it's area is 11526 km² (~4150 mi²).

Dehong is divided into three counties and two county level cities: Liánghé (梁河县), Yíngjiāng (盈江县), Lǒngchuān (陇川县); Lùxī (潞西市) and Ruìlì (瑞丽市).
The seat of the local government is in Luxi. The postcode of Dehong is 678400, the telephone prefix is +86-692.

The population of Dehong is 1.02 million, 48.17% of whom are Han Chinese, 51.83% are national minorities, mostly Dai and Jingpo.

The area was declared an autonomous region in 1953 and in May 1956 became an autonomous prefecture.
