Degan Elementary School was built in 1973 and renovated in 1995. Building on a strong tradition of excellence, Degan offers “Challenge, Achievement and Success for all.” Academic excellence is the first priority, but there are many opportunities for students and families to participate in related school activities as well. Degan is fortunate to have a strong volunteer program where students and teachers are assisted in the classroom. Our goal is that every student, every day will feel successful, challenged and safe. Degan Elementary received Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the Texas Education Agency in 2005-06 for Commended on Writing; Commended on Mathematics; and Commended on Science. Cody Linley went to this elementary school!
