Painting of the defense of Cadiz against Sir Edward Cecil, painted by Francisco de Zurbarán

Defensa de Cádiz contra los ingleses, pintura de Francisco de Zurbarán. Representación del ataque de la flota anglo-holandesa bajo el mando de Sir Edward Cecil que en noviembre de 1625 atacó la ciudad española de Cádiz. Don Fernando Girón, gobernador de Cádiz (sentado), imparte órdenes a sus oficiales. Al fondo, la flota anglo-holandesa ataca el fuerte del Puntal.
