), also known as DSA, is a university of cadets for the new generation in Myanmar's military forces. It offers degrees for under-grad and post-grad in Arts, Science and Computer Science with a regular three-year courses.

The Defense Services Academy was first established in Fort Ba Htoo near Yauksauk in Southern Shan State, Burma on 14 February 1955. The DSA, was moved its base to the British hill station of Pyin Oo Lwin in Mandalay Division in June 1957. As one of the most Burma's pretigious military academy, many male youngsters are interested to attend the academy with the aim of future career in the military. However, the power ranking opportunity is more impressive than the career line in the military, for the youngsters. Until its 49th intake in 2007, DSA does only permit to male applicants, though it seeks multi-ethnic groups to collaborate in the academy.
