Defense Intelligence Analysis Center

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Defense Intelligence Analysis Center (DIAC) is the largest of the Defense Intelligence Agency's facilities. It is located on Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC. The DIAC was built in 1987 to consolidate DIA activities in the Washington, DC area. While technically the Pentagon is officially DIA's headquarters, the DIAC is by far home to the majority of employees as well as the headquarters of the National Defense Intelligence College and the Defense Intelligence Operations Coordination Center. In 2005 DIA opened the DIAC Expansion which allowed for more DIA personnel to serve under one roof than ever before. Currently the DIAC Expansion is also the headquarters for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
