DEFA-Studio für Spielfilme was a famous film studio in the German Democratic Republic-GDR (the German Democratic Republic is also known as the Deutsche Demokratische Republik-DDR), maybe best known for its fairy tale films. The DEFA-Studio für Spielfilme was part of the Deutsche Film-Aktiengesellschaft (DEFA).
Among its loveliest productions is Tři oříšky pro Popelku, in cooperation with the Czech Barrandov Studios.
