Deerland is located in Okaloosa County, Florida, USA.

The Deerland Community in Okaloosa County is located in the vicinity from Hwy 393 eastward to the Walton County line along Hwy 90. Area is mostly rural, and formerly cattle land. Eglin AFB borders the community on the south. The Dorcus Community borders Deerland on the north. The Mossy Head Community in Walton County borders Deerland on the east. The Killingsworth Crossroads Community borders Deerland on the west. The City of Crestview, Fl is about fifteen miles to the west. The Shoal River skirts Deerland from the Walton County line to the north around the north side of the community westward where it gradually turns to the south into Eglin AFB property. Smaller subdivisions in Deerland have begun growing off of Hwy 90: The Pines and Triple Lakes.
