The deepwater catshark, Apristurus profundorum, is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western Atlantic from Delaware Bay and Suriname, and from the eastern Atlantic from Morocco and northwest Africa, from depths of between 1,100 and 1,750 m. Its length is up to 54 cm.
The deepwater catshark is a little-known oviparous deepwater catshark with a short snout, small eyes, and short gill openings.
