Wikibreak
I am really sorry to hear that you are back on an indefinite wikibreak. Hope you come back here soon. You have been an invaluable contributor to us. :) Regards, Greg Jones II 02:13, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your support in my RfA. It was definitely a dramatic debate, that landed on WP:100! I paid close attention to everything that was said, and, where possible, I will try to incorporate the (constructive) criticism towards being a better administrator. I'm taking things slowly for now, partially because of the holidays and all the off-wiki distractions. :) I'm also working my way through the Wikipedia:New admin school and double-checking the relevant policies, and will gradually phase into the use of the new tools. My main goals are to help out with various backlogs, but I also fully intend to keep on writing articles, as there are several more that I definitely want to get to WP:FA status! Thanks again, and have a great new year, --Elonka 18:10, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Star Wars melee weapons
Hi again! Don't know if you remember me, but I'm here to haunt you about some edits you made about two years ago; mainly, this one to Star Wars melee weapons. I'm wondering if you could tell me what the references are citing so that I can convert them into an in-line format. Thanks! Master of Puppets Call me MoP!☺ 00:36, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
As you were a contributor in the last TFD, I am letting you know that {{Maintained}} is again up for deletion. Please review the current version of the template and discuss it at the TFD. Thanks! — BRIAN0918 • 2008-01-30 17:47Z
New England Pats up for FAR
New England Patriots has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. AlexJ (talk) 20:31, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

GA articles
You might not feel the need for references in GA articles, but that's why they don't pass. Shame on you... :) --andreasegde (talk) 21:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Have you seen Wikipedia:Featured content dispatch workshop? I haven't posted it to Tony yet, since he is so swamped in real life. I'll let him know next month. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 04:05, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
YES! I need to go figure out which one it was, give me a minute. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 04:57, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- You had a weak oppose at Smallville (season 1), are you satisfied now? and Portal (video game) has only gotten three reviews. Metal Gear Solid is languishing with no input at WP:FAR. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 05:01, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- And, if you want to be abused of with double double duty, there's European Union and Reactive attachment disorder and Cas's languishing mushrooms and ... ok, I'll stop. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 05:18, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Crushing by elephant is split at FAR and could probaly use another look. FAR has been moving really slowly lately simply because of lack of review. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 04:23, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Funny talk page message; have a good weekend! But don't forget to revisit your oppose at Smallville. :-) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:46, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

DK, I don't know what to do about the Patriots. There's not enough there to work with, I don't have sources, I'm not a good writer, my son doesn't know the Patriots as well as he knows the RedSox, and I really don't want to turn him loose on Wiki on my IP <yikes> ... not sure how I can help. Thanks
I had been watching the Chrono articles, but Chrono Trigger fell into serious disrepair. I fixed that back in January, and now it's on a rocky road towards TFA for March 11. You wouldn't believe the resistance it's getting at the TFA request page because...dum dum dum, it's a video game. ZeaLitY [ DREAM - REFLECT ] 04:01, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

I finished the rest of the episodes, though it may not be perfect. Check it out whenever you get the chance (I read that you'll be gone this weekend), and let me know if there is something more that could be tweaked. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 22:47, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Slipknot Copyedit
Hello there! I am contacting you as I found you on the LOCE Members list. Back in december I submitted a request for the article Slipknot (band) to be copyeditted. Since which time one user has said that they would help, however they have since not responded. So I was wondering if I could make a personal request for you to copyedit the article? I would greatly appreciate it because I feel the information is of FA status but I am not the best of writers, which is clear. Thanks in advance for any help you may give. WP:FICT
It was a pleasure to see you contributing to WP:WIAGA again recently. I noticed your contributions a year ago when I was something of a newbie!
I've added a comment to WP:FICT in the hope that a good guideline can be pulled out of the recent period of intensive editing and discussion. I hope we can work together on this, as even though we've not interacted much, my impression is that we see eye-to-eye on a number of issues. Geometry guy 20:54, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Re: editor review
Thanks for the compliments dude. Watch for my next RfA, it'll be a fun time (hopefully - more like grueling I'm sure). Absolutely correct about my taste in music too, which leads me to inform you that Neil Peart (nominated by yours truly) is currently up for FAC. I still have some work to do apparently. Final Fantasy V
Yeah, tackling those objections would be awesome, some of them I disagree with and others I'm not quite sure how to address. I'm going to work on Final Fantasy XI tonight, but I've only done a little thus far with FFV. Thanks for the help in advance :) Judgesurreal777 (talk) 17:29, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yay! FFXI passed FA, now we just have to get FFV done. I think it needs a bunch more references, but where to get them from I'm not sure, good thing you are on this one too :) Judgesurreal777 (talk) 04:16, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- Do you know where there are any additional references to FFV that aren't in the article? I haven't been able to find any. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 04:45, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Riana's request for bureaucratship
|
Dear Tyler, thank you for taking part in my RfB. As you may know, it was not passed by bureaucrats.
I would, however, like to thank you for taking the time to voice your support, despite concerns cited by the opposition. Although RfA/B isn't really about a person, but more about the community, I was deeply touched and honoured by the outpouring of support and interest in the discussion. I can only hope that you don't feel your opinion was not considered enough - bureaucrats have to give everyone's thoughts weight.
I also hope that the results of this RfB lead to some change in the way we approach RfBs, and some thought about whether long-entrenched standards are a good thing in our growing and increasingly heterogenous community.
I remain eager to serve you as an administrator and as an editor. If at any point you see something problematic in my actions, please do not hesitate to call me out. ~ Riana ⁂ 12:19, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:XenoLogo.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:XenoLogo.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 03:41, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm a little confused as to what you're doing these days. Are you retired (or retiring) or are you active? And you say you've been in an accident: everything still attached I hope? -- Sabre (talk) 08:43, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
I have a vision
I wanted to show you something, as long ago, we talked about FF wikiproject being all GA...well I came up with an all-featured topic project :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Judgesurreal777/Topic_Building#Final_Fantasy_topics It's built on three ideas;
- Cutting a few articles from our jurisdiction that aren't intimately Final Fantasy related
- Merging a bunch of articles that have no notability
- Creating a subproject at wikiproject video games to deal with the people who create video games, as they get no love from most video game wikiprojects
- Build up the remaining articles to GA status, and have everyone look at us in awe. Thoughts? My biggest issue will be to sell it to the others who remain at the project. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 14:54, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
User Ageslimit needs to be banned (again)
Hey. It seems that in the May of last year, you blocked this guy Ageslimit for a well-rounded dose of vandalism. Well he's back now, and spent Apr 19th spamming a good deal. And what's worse is that he's been using the edit comment box for advertising, which I don't think can be changed by normal users. Pls ban this guy, he sickens me and more than certainly deserves it. Thnx... Abhishekbh (talk) 07:50, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Reliable Source
Hello Deckiller. I've tracked you down because I need help. I know zero about Wikipedia's policies regarding reliable sources and have no desire spending hours shifting through pages of policies mumbo-jumbo to solve my problem. Basically, I'm wondering if the site "thelostworlds.net" would be a reliable citation for this page: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. I have no idea if it is or not and I just decided to bring it to an Admin. The Clawed One (talk) 18:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Supporting characters of Xenogears, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 23:36, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Hello, I am contacting you because you're a member of the League of Copyeditors. Fair use rationale for Image:Bobs stores.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Bobs stores.gif. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 09:57, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Could you please semi-protect this page? We have a whole mess of IP's (probably just one sock-puppeting, actually, since they all say the same thing and act like they were the same person) who continue to insert unverified info, and remove sourced info. Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 19:21, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
<Idle chatter>. I accidentally found User:Deckiller/music and was very happy to see Neil Peart and Bill Bruford on the drummers list. I'd also agree with Geddy Lee as a bassist, but Alex Lifeson is not a standout as are his bandmates... I'd argue with your over-rated bands, adding Journey (who held the record for decades) but the #1 all-time most over-rated, (recently surpassing Journey) would be Nirvana. I'd remove Led Zeppelin, since of course they are easily the best band ever. :-) As for under-rated bands, you forgot Queen. The Police are not under-rated; they were extremely big in their day and, I suspect, still garner respect... Friends of mine have mentioned Djam Karet in this context, but I have never heard their stuff.</Idle chatter> Ling.Nut (talk) 04:33, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
