[edit] Solstice

The winter solstice, sometimes known as Yule, occurs on or very close to this date.

Well, yeah, up here it does, but Chileños might see it differently. I jury-rigged a fix, but it's borealocentric. --Charles A. L. 14:41, Dec 22, 2003 (UTC)

I edited this for clarity, and removed the reference to "Yule" and "Chinese Calendar." These reference only two of the many cultures that find this event important, and readers can click to those articles to obtain more detail. --mtz206 00:30, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Phil Johnson

Moved birth from article:

[edit] Brett Favre

Removed Brett Farve entry - considering the global importance of the other events listed, his achievement doesn't seem as appropriate. --mtz206 00:23, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC)

Evidently this event has resurfaced and it still remains non-notable. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 20:37, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
