Decker College
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Decker College was a "proprietary" (investor-owned and for-profit) college located in Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A. at 981 South Third Street. It closed in October 2005, following a disagreement with the United States Department of Education about accreditation of its construction-related courses and on-line instruction.[1] According to former senator Alfonse D'Amato, William Weld, the ex governor of Massachusetts, was responsible:[2]
"Mr. D'Amato said Mr. Weld would have trouble explaining the "multimillion dollar looting" of Decker College in Kentucky, which collapsed in bankruptcy last fall after federal officials cut off student loan aid because of mismanagement concerns."
