Decarabia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In demonology, Decarabia (also called Carabia) is a demon and, according to The Lesser Key of Solomon, a Great Marquis of Hell, although he has no title in the hellish hierarchy given by Pseudomonarchia Daemonum. He has thirty legions of demons under his command. Decarabia knows the virtues of all herbs and precious stones, and can change into all birds and sing and fly like them before the conjurer.
He is depicted as appearing as a pentagram star, changing into a man under the conjurer's request.
[edit] In Popular Culture
- In Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Decarabia is an orange pentagram-shaped demon, recruitable and fuzeable in the Cathedral of Shadows.
- Decarabia appears in the PS2 RPG Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 as one of the Protagonist's usable Personas.
- In the Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Decarabia is depicted as an amphibious wheel-like monster 'in the shape of a starfish'. It infrequently drops the edible item 'Boiled Starfish'.
