[edit] Wikipedia Rules A-Z

I began editing to sort out the Isle of Wight and played with the Categories until I went crazy. I tried to copy the layout of Cornwall which looked very organized. None of the other counties of England are that well organized.

Then i wanted to write some pages. I found this very hard to put something together which would be both encyclopedic and relevant.

Then I significantly rewrote Brighstone Forest and modified Parkhurst Forest. This of course had to go into a new category. (Category:Forests_and_woodlands_on_the_Isle_of_Wight)

I finally managed to create my own new page, a page called Newtown River

Being a bit! obsessed with the IOW I added an IOW section into List of bays of the British Isles, List of places on the British coastline, List of rivers of England

Following my work on IOW forests I graduated to doing tables - pretty tricky! I created a new page called List of Forestry Commission land on the Isle of Wight

I have now started a large piece of work with more tables called List of National Trust land in England

Finished Thames and solent region by extensive research of the National trust website, the information is all over the place! Then i poored over the 1:25000 scale o/s map of the IOW and found a whole load of land manged by the NT but not mentioned on their website, they are so modest! This i have added to the table, areas are missing, how do you calculate them off a map?

Definitely finding that my interests lie in the nature/conservation side of things. There are so many artices that have not been written, particularly to complete the links on List of Sites of Special Scientific Interest on the Isle of Wight and also i'm thinking lots of articles need to be updated to indicate that they are in the Isle of Wight AONB

Just updated the Western Yar entry. Hope its OK

The work continues....

[edit] The Clare Balding Incident

In an episode broadcast on 15/12/07, the defending the indefensible round between Clare Balding and Will Buckley was too close to call. He deffered the decision to his producer but in an effort to sway the decision Clare apparently exposed her breasts to Colin Murray. In customary Murray style, he awarded the win to Will Buckley. He signed off by saying, "..it will take me 7 days to get over that!". Clare replied by saying, "It was specially for the Webcam."
