I am currently retraining after several years in the workforce, and my level of editing tends to be proportionate to the amount of homework I have at any given moment. (That is, the more homework I have to do the more important it seems to me that I spend eight hours straight on wikipedia instead.) :-)
My main interests are current affairs and botany, however mostly I just roam randomly around the corridors of Wikipedia. Recently I've been quite active on articles for deletion, where I strongly subscribe to the view that polling is not a substitute for discussion. I very slightly tend towards the inclusionist rather than the deletionist side of deletion debates, predominantly because I believe that the effort some editors put into trying to get borderline cases deleted is misplaced energy that would be better spent on improving articles and general, run of the mill administration. Having said that, in terms of policy, I think that the current wikipedia suite of policies is about right.
