- Topic: Should this article have a link to debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/
- My opinion: Yes, since
- A. The public forums are a great resource
- B. Other articles like the one on Credit score also have links to public discussion forums.
- Disclosure: I am a forum admin at debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/ for the last 18 months and I get great satisfaction from helping people and reading testimonials like: debtconsolidationcare.com/testimonials/
Topgun - This seems to cover several articles, so I'll respond on your talk page. - brenneman(t)(c) 05:22, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Topgun9 I see that you have removed the link. Can you please respond here. Since I think that will help us keep this discussion focussed and organized.
Ok, first I'd ask if you have looked over these guidelines. - brenneman(t)(c) 05:44, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

What is usdebtservice.com doing in the links? Looks like spam to me -JBHD June 2, 2006
[edit] Accuracy of this statement
Is there a source for the following claim?
- SLM Corporation (formerly Sallie Mae) does not report to Experian or Transunion, which means that students will have differing credit scores at Equifax, Transunion, and Experian.
TransUnion seems to know perfectly well about my Sallie Mae loans. Tyler 10:49, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Another Really Great Site
I was doing some reasearch on debt consolidation and I found a web site that has really great tips on how to go about consolidating debt it is:
debt-consolidation-insight.com/10tips1-3.php
I found it really useful. Check it out and lets talk about it.

- Doesn't look useful to me. It's just an affiliate link. -- zzuuzz(talk) 10:34, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Did you even read the content? Go back and read the content. Read all 10 tips. They make sense and tell you what is really going on when you consolidate your debt.
For instance Tip two and three tells you that consolidation companies lower the monthly bill by extending the loan period but that they earn far more intrest by doing so.
Also wikipedia uses <nofollow> tags which makes all of their outbound links void when it comes to affiliate links. So this link would not aid the pages ranking in search engines.

[edit] References/citations
There is only one reference in the entire article, and for a very specific topic. I'm not necessarily disputing the information present, but it requires citations to validate the information. Halogenated (talk) 05:12, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
