Talk:Debre Berhan

Why is there no mention of the Fascist Italian genocide of 2000 people?
- It's absent only because no one's added it with a reliable source yet. You're free to add the information yourself. — ዮም | (Yom) | Talk • contribs • Ethiopia 21:41, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

- I haven't stumbled across a mention of this event. Yet. I wonder if this is a misremembered version of the infamous slaughter of the monks at Debre Libanos following a failed assassination attempt on the Italian governor Graziani on 19 February 1937. If not, I believe Graziani ordered a large number of mass killings in retaliation for this attempt on his life. -- llywrch 06:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
