Debeweyin

Debeweyin is one of the 47 woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Korahe Zone, Debeweyin is bordered on the south and west by the Gode Zone, on the north by Kebri Dahar, and on the east by Shilavo. The major town in Debeweyin is Har Ad.
The only perennial rivers in Debeweyin is the Fafen. This woreda is primarily inhabited by the Darod clan of the Somali people.
Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 84,520, of whom 34,947 were males and 49,573 were females; 6,449 or 7.63% of its population are urban dwellers, which is less than the Zone average of 18.2%. Information is not available on the area of Debeweyin, so its density cannot be calculated.[1]
