Debbie Lee is an Australian rules football champion and arguably Australia's most recognisable women's footballer of any code.

She has been a tireless campaigner for recognition of Women's Australian rules football in Australia, throwing away a WNBL career to focus on developing the sport.

She has caused controversy when she was denied a spot in the Hammerheads reality television show. A short, lean but courageous player, she was considered too fragile to compete on the same field as men.

She later was selected in the charity event AFL Legends Match, stunning many with an inspiring, pacy performance, kicking a goal after only minutes of play coming off the interchange bench.

She was later appointed president of the Victorian Women's Football League.

Apart from being the president of the VWFL she is a player from the St Albans Spurs. Her career began in 1990 with the Parkville Scorpions and in 1992 moved to form her own club: the St Albans Spurs

These days, Debbie works for the Western Bulldogs football club in its community programs area.
