Debach

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Debach is a small village about 4 miles North West of Woodbridge, Suffolk, UK.

During World War II the village housed an airbase which was home to the 493rd BG(H) - Helton's Hellcats- USAAF. The airbase closed soon after the war and is now the site of Debach Enterprises, although part of the runway has been preserved.

All Saints Church in Debach was almost completely rebuilt in 1845 by George Gilbert Scott and is now a private dwelling, although the graveyard remains accessible to the public. Debach is also home to the Green Label food company, which is situated at Loomswood Farm and specializes in the production of the Gressingham Duck.
