[edit] northern shaolin

This belongs on the discussion page of the northern shaolin article. Your qualifications as a bak sil lum practitioner do not give you the right to place unsourced material on the page. Are you aware that you said bak sil lum was formed from, in part, a style of sport wushu, and that you've claimed a sash in a traditional system that does not use a formal ranking system? PLEASE CONTINUE ON THE DISCUSSION PAGE FOR BAK SIL LUM. NJMauthor (talk) 13:42, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Sir, this belongs on the dicussion page, not the talk page. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, especially because I knew from the start that you were a potential BSL brother. But I think you need to source/explain your material, because I'm not sure you know what the vernacular meanings of some of the definitions you used that you may give the wrong impression- that BSL is a late 20th century amalgam of PRC sport wushu styles, which it is not. I hope you didn't take my request for sources the wrong way, because sourcing new edits is just what you do here to prove there's a basis in fact. You can't just claim expertise and have that vouch for every edit! It's not a sign of disrespect. Come off it, man!

Also, I have no beef with sanda/sanshou and was not referring to that.NJMauthor (talk) 13:10, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Also, this is the discussion page, not my talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Northern_Shaolin_%28martial_art%29
