[edit] Hot Wheels & Categories

Hi. Thanks for the edit to Hot Wheels, but it's not necessary to add the Toys category, because it already was part of the category Toy cars and trucks, which in turn is part of Toys. See Wikipedia:Categorization for more details. RoySmith 2 July 2005 02:06 (UTC)

[edit] XBAND

A user claiming to be the originator of this article has been reverting this back to 'his' form, before all of your cleanups. I'm trying to talk to him about it, but would you mind keeping an eye on the page for the next week or so, in case this gets out of hand? --InShaneee 03:59, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Fishcam

As per your talk page question at Talk:Fishcam, Fishcam is not related to Netscape Fishcam. -- Longhair 09:32, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Full years

WP:MOSNUM#Usage of links for date preferences - this is what i am following. - Hbdragon88 21:54, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Permanent Hiatus

Deathawk, you need to put back what I had for my page, Permanent Hiatus . That's ridiculous. You messed up the entire article. Change it back IMMEDIATELY. Cueball 15:54, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fire drills in Wisconsin

Thanks for the information! I've reworked it a little bit for easier readability, but all in all, it was quite helpful. SchuminWeb (Talk) 15:18, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] category:College and Univeristy Types

I think that renaming Category:School types was a good idea, however, the new category has a typo and does not conform to Wikipedia's capitalization style (in the titles of categories and articles only the first word and proper nouns are capitalized as per Wikipedia:Naming conventions). A more minor point is that in other categories, university comes before college (as in Category:Universities and colleges in New York). I think the category should be called Category:University and college types. Keep up the good work! btm talk 02:27, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

I second the observation that the category name is misspelled. I've found out a little about how to fix this, though you may already know how better than I do. See Category talk:College and Univeristy Types. Thanks for your contributions, --Jdlh | Talk 18:25, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
Just to let you know, I've made the appropriate changes to the category. Cheers! btm talk 22:37, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Lists

Why did you remove the * sorting from the categories Religion-related lists, Geography lists, Culture lists, Art lists and Society lists? Did you see the comment describing the layout of the Lists category page at the top of that page, or on the talk page? --JeffW 16:59, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

I disagree. It makes sense to put the most common way of searching a category near the front, especially the top level categories. And it isn't unprecedented. Take a look at Category:People where it has a bunch of People by ... categories sorted before the alphabetical listings, which is basically the same thing I did in Lists.

[edit] Category:Disasters

I appreciate your initiative with the categorisation in the Disasters category. However, several of the categorisations were duplications and I had to revert them. I hope that you do not mind. Please do join us at the WikiProject for disasters. --rxnd ( t | | c ) 21:58, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Internet Personality

I want to know why me being in the Category:Internet Personalities annoys you so much. Please stop removing me from categories i'm in. And "you're not an internet personality" is not a valid rebuttal. User:Raccoon Fox - Talk 18:32, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

thanks,. i'm not trying to be mean or rude or a bully...i'm just sick of people vandalising my page, and changing which categories i'm in....i do try to keep myself to proper and appropriate categories, though. User:Raccoon Fox - Talk 19:19, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Virtual Boy Wario Land

You're actually the second person to ask me this, so I'm going to put the reasoning in the article's talk page now.

I changed the article because:

  1. The box says Virtual Boy Wario Land
  2. The cartridge says Virtual Boy Wario Land
  3. The title screen says Virtual Boy Wario Land
  4. GameFAQs, MobyGames, GameSpot, and Planet Virtual Boy all refer to it as Virtual Boy Wario Land.
  5. Note how it never says "Wario Land for Virtual Boy". The "Virtual Boy" is part of the subtitle of the game, much like how Eternal Darkness' full title is actually Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.
  6. Most importantly: It's really just a rearangement of words from "Wario Land (Virtual Boy)", so what does it really matter? This way drops the parentheses and looks better.--SeizureDog 06:34, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] C2 Judgement Clay

In response to your message on my talk page, it seems that that list was originally added by User:Nadnerd, and thanks for helping clean the page up. Kil (talk) 20:09, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Association

I suppose my little joke was rather inappropriate. I was just saying basically many people can be become addicted to this. Sorry. Simply south 18:25, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Erm... your association didn't quite come out right but i have created speculation as to how it may link with the military. Simply south 18:32, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Open Society

Hello, I just discovered that you recently made Category:Open Society a parent category for Category:Democracy, when I'm sure you meant to do the inverse. I've already taken care of the problem, and Category:Open Society is now a sub-category of Category:Democracy. Working with categories can be very tricky, even confusing at times, so it's important to take your time and be very careful -- and then check the results to be sure that they make sense.
