User talk:Deaþe gecweald

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi! Thanks for editing Wikipedia. There's a small problem with your username. Our username policy bans the usage of usernames similar to famous people (in your case, Lemmy Kilmister). It's nothing personal, but we've had complaints in the past from celebrities, where editors using their names had made edits that were in some cases offensive. A name like Lemmy Kilmister fan would be perfectly fine. Otherwise, you could pick another username of your choosing, providing it fits with our policies.

If you could make a request here, or leave me a note on my talk page indicating which username you'd prefer, we would appreciate it. Thanks, Ral315 (talk) 07:57, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rename

As requested, I have renamed you as User:deaþe_gecweald. You may now like to move your userpages to the new name. Warofdreams talk 23:51, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Somerset wikiproject

Hi, I see you are from Somerset & interested in the Anglo Saxons. I wondered if you would be willing/able to help out the new Somerset wikiproject. We are currently trying assess articles within the Somerset categories & the Category:Unassessed Somerset articles contains lots of kings/tribe leaders from the middle ages & I'm not sure if they should be included in the scope of the wikiproject - any help or advice (on this or cricket or anything else) appreciated on the project talk page.— Rod talk 08:07, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
