First Article addition: Flaky's gender is unconfirmed. Even the Happy Tree Friends website is ambiguous to her gender. She was originally created by Rhode Montijo to be a boy, but in commentaries in DVDs, most of the creators refer to Flaky as a "her." Many think that Flaky is a girl due to her voice, her personality, and other things like flower designs on her briefcase and surfboard. Others refer to Flaky as a boy due to the activities she does, evidenced by Smoochies and episodes she has appeared on, although fans who refer to her as a female consider these as evidence that she's a tomboy. It is unknown how, when, or if ever they'll reveal Flaky's true gender. For now it's for viewers to decide their own opinion.
