Of course, when the top of the page mentions the novel first, the bulk of the article should discuss the novel, shouldn't it?

And yet, two distinct characters from the novel, but were combined in the movie, are combined here, and two more book characters who never made it to the movie are completely omitted - which makes me think that the person who wrote the list has never read the book, but is writing a synopsis of it, anyway.

In English class, that gets you an F. On Wikipedia, that gets you published.

In a word, bull. I made changes, and they were changed back to the erroneous data.

Very Good

[edit] Plot summary is, by definition, short.

I am removing the callout "Death on the Nile has an exceptionally complex plot, much simplified here." since it is, in my opinion, redundant. This is a plot summary and should be, by definition of the word "summary", short. Padillah 15:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trilogy

In Death on the Nile, doesn't Poirot mention the events of Murder on the Orient Express?

Yes, he does, he mentions something about finding the kimono in his own suitcase from Murder on the Orient Express, so this trilogy thing seems weird. I think it should be taken out... AMac2002 02:29, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Radio adaptation

I think that the BBC made a 4 part radio adaptation of "Death on the Nile" with John Moffatt as Poirot. I think it is acurate to the book, and very well done I might add. Is it worth mentioning in the article? HelmarocQueen 04:24, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

I see it's been added! I'm glad to know I wasn't entirely crazy... HelmarocQueen (talk) 03:58, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

On a side note, I shall remove the linking of John Moffatt's name to another John Moffatt in this section as I believe that this is the wrong person. HelmarocQueen (talk) 04:04, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

There are seeveral pages for John Moffatt's including one for John Moffatt the actor so I have put the correct link in.--Jtomlin1uk (talk) 09:24, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Spoilers?

Since when did Wikipedia begin to allow spoilers? The ending is in the article! This is not good writing at all. I would suggest removal. MagnoliaSouth (talk) 13:17, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

After reading it again in shock and disappointment, I'd say that the last four paragraphs in the plot summary could be scrapped altogether. That leaves the summary with sufficient details, and trashes the spoiler. If no one objects, I'll remove those paragraphs in three days, if I can remember to come back here.MagnoliaSouth (talk) 13:20, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Do not delete the plot details - please see Wikipedia:Spoiler--Jtomlin1uk (talk) 14:07, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
