  • Dean Kamen was also inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame last year -- NitishP
  • At WPI last year (fall 2005) he gave a speech about a water purifier and a generator. Does anyone have any news about this? -- John S.
  • Changed leak date on Segway under "Inventions" to "January 2001." -- cprincipe.
  • I removed a long section of the full NTSB report on an airplane crash and moved the important bits up into Personal Life. The full report wasn't needed. Mattgrommes 17:03, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Is the info on his island source? The value of his currency seems corny.

[edit] Nothing about the stent?

When I heard Dean speak about innovation / inventing, he seemed to indicate the medical stent that deka made was enormously successful and profitable, yet no mention of it here? If there is a reason, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise I'll see what I can add. - Davandron | Talk 19:26, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Plane accident

I added back a bit about a plane crash he was involved in, minus the NTSB report that was included last time this bit of history was in the page. Mattgrommes 21:04, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] So,

Is he single because he chose to be, or because he owns an island called "North Dumpling", with his own currency in increments of Pi, with odd government positions?

He's not single —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.168.125.36 (talk) 02:53, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The jet he flies cannot travel from coast to coast

East Coast to West Coast is anywhere from 2500-3500 miles. The claim he commutes himself from coast to coast is somewhat difficult to believe. Does he stop for refueling multiple times throughout the day? Is it even plausible for him to make the commute there and back home, including stops for refueling? I believe a fan of his has written with heart, not mind, and ascribed to Mr. Kamen super-hero capabilities. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.16.134.146 (talk) 01:04, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dubious

Extremely unlikely he flies across the entire continental US and back again in a single day, considering the Beechcraft Premier I's ranged isn't even half of the required distance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.222.149.167 (talk) 22:17, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
