The deadly assassination squad was a group of assassin within Quentin Tarantino's movies: Kill Bill Vol.1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2. The squad consisted of:

  • O-ren Isshi-I codenamed Cottonmouth - Played by Lucy Lui, Oren was a master assassin forged from the tragedies of her parents' murder. She later became the leader of the Tokyo Underworld and leader of a gang of would-be assassins called The Crazy 88s which included Sophie Fattalle, Johnny Mo, and Gogo.
  • Vernita Green codenamed Copperhead - Played by Vivica A. Fox, Vernita Green was a master of knife fighting. She has a daughter named Nikki.
  • Budd codenamed Sidewinder - Played by Michael Madsen, Budd is Bill's brother, a master of deception and surprise attack who may or may not have declined in alcoholism and depression.
  • Elle Driver codenamed California Mountain Snake - Played by Darryl Hannah, Elle becomes Bill's girlfriend.
  • Breatrix Kiddo codenamed Black Mamba aka The Bride - Played by Uma Thurman, Bill's girlfriend who become pregnant and leaves the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.
  • Bill aka Snake Charmer - Played by David Carradine, is the leader of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.

All members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad were killed by Breatrix Kiddo.

Wouldn't it be better not to refer to the filmmaker as "Quentin"? Is he a buddy of ours?

A single viewing of Vol. 2 disproves your last statement. Budd died from a snake planted by Elle, and Elle's death is not confirmed (in memorable fashion, a question mark appears over her name in the closing credits.)BinaryTed 20:50, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] O-Ren's parents

"Apparently, Bill was the one who hired the hit on O-Ren Ishii's parents." Er...come again? Did I miss something? Junkyard prince 05:33, 1 September 2005 (UTC)

I can't recall anything in the film that would indicate this. BinaryTed 20:50, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

Wrong. I hope that was deleted.

"David Carradine has confirmed that Bill killed O-Ren's parents" If you follow the cited link there is nothing at all that confirms this. Should be removed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.159.76.210 (talk) 15:55, 14 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] On symbolism

The California Mountain Snake is the only non-venomous snake among the group. It is hard to find symbolism in the fact that that character (Elle Driver) is the only one to kill with poison in the films (unless we resort to some reversed logic scheme). What does stand out is that the black mamba is hardly with peers. In symbolism and real life dangerousness, a 'black mamba' person should be with people named 'King cobra', 'spitting cobra', 'taipan' or 'tiger snake', perhaps 'diamondback rattler'. They would be appropriate peers of a black mamba. Apart from the black mamba, the snakes used in the film are, as venom and ferosity go, second-rate, local (US) brands blended with the 'Rolls-Royce' of venomous snakes. MyS

[edit] Black Mamba's Deadliness

The article says:

'Although never explicitly said, it was widely held that Black Mamba was the most lethal and skilled of the DiVAS after Bill himself'

But when the shot gun-wielding assassin bursts in on the Bride, I'm sure she says '...I'm the deadliest woman in the world, but right now I'm just scared for my baby.'. Also it says (about O Ren) 'By the age of _ she was the best female assassin in the world' or something like that.

[edit] Fair use rationale needed for lead image to prevent deletion

Image:Kill Bill Deadly Vipers.jpg, which I originally uploaded, has been tagged for deletion because it is lacking a fair use explanation beyond the standard tag. I don't have time to fix this now, but it should be rather easy to do--single frame screenshot, copyrighted subject matter, no free replacement, etc. Postdlf (talk) 18:57, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
