[edit] vfd

Was listed on vfd and consensus was to keep. Discussion was as follows:

Advertisement for non-notable shareware program. Gwalla | Talk 17:18, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • A lot of people use this. Keep. Rhymeless 18:41, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Notable; I know people who use this client. Keep and send to cleanup to make it sound less like an advertisement. • Benc • 20:57, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • The program may be notable, but this is advertising copy. Delete. -- Cyrius| 23:41, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Could use some tweaking, but otherwise looks fine. Gamaliel 01:08, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • If DeadAIM is on VfD, then shouldn't AIMutation also be listed? -- llywrch 04:26, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Why not combine all AIM add-ons in one article so that DeadAIM, AIMutation, and others are all represented and would not seem like seem like advertisements.
    • comment: That sounds reasonable. Gwalla | Talk 19:48, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Criticism Section

The "Criticism" section added today seems heavily POV and has no cites. I've removed it from the main article and pasted it here, so if anyone wants to work on it they can bring it up to scratch here then merge it back in if appropriate. Jamse 18:30, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Criticism

DeadAIM has recieved some criticism by its users since its abandonment around 2003. Many users have complained that they did not get what they paid for as DeadAIM is no longer being upgraded to work with the newest versions of AIM. The website's forums have been the main vehicle for complaints. Lack of support, as well as the general curtness of the forum's moderators, has driven many users away.
