Death Culture is the third album from Shovel. The album was released May 29, 2001, and was the band's final album from Universal Records. The album did not repeat the success of its predecessor, and after conflict with the Universal over lackluster sales and promotion, the band was dropped from the label. This was the band's first album with Sam Grendel on bass.

- The band decided not to release any videos for the album, leading to conflict with the record label and slow sales. Eventually, this would lead to the band's dropping from Universal.
