Martin goes for a long overdue checkup but learns that his physician has died from a heart attack. Frasier becomes obsessed with his own mortality as the man was very similar to him in age, health and lifestyle.

Meanwhile, Daphne tells Niles she prefers her men to be more on the macho side, and he tries to beef up his image around her.
