Death's Shadow is Darren Shan's newest book in the Demonata series.
It is narrated by the character of Bec, and follows the events after the Demon Apocalypse. Not due to be released in America until later this year, the book fills in many gaps on the history and back story of Beranabus, who we find out is actually Bran, from the book Bec.
The whole book does not cover a long period of time, only a few weeks or so. The story goes from being in Dervish's house, to being in the Demonata world, and then back into the human world onto a huge cruise liner.
