Dear One
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Dear One" is the second track on George Harrison's 1976 album, Thirty Three & 1/3. In his autobiography, I Me Mine, Harrison says that he believes the song is the only one he ever wrote with an A tuning. He wrote the lyrics to the song on a trip to the Virgin Islands, shortly before starting work on Thirty Three & 1/3 in 1976. The lyrics themselves are directed to Paramahansa Yogananda, who George calls "a great influence on [his] life".
