Dean Sabatino is most recognized as "Dean Clean", the drummer of The Dead Milkmen. Before The Dead Milkmen, he played in the band Narthex. After The Dead Milkmen split up, Dean and former guitarist and vocalist of The Dead Milkmen Joe "Jack Talcum" Genaro formed the band "Butterfly Joe". Butterfly Joe is currently on hiatus. Dean currently plays with The Big Mess Orchestra.

In 1995, Dean "Clean" Sabatino's drum sticks were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Dean "Clean" Sabatino holds the world record for "Biggest collection of autographed drumsticks". In 2000 it was made official, and Dean's name was put into the book. Dean has over 1300 autographed drum sticks. [1]
