Dean Moxey (born Exeter, January 14, 1986) is a professional footballer with Conference side Exeter City.
Moxey is a winger who plays primarily on the left side of midfield, although he is also able to play as a left back or full-back. He has been capped by England at semi-professional level.
Moxey, began his career as a trainee with Exeter City. Upon their relegation from the Football League in 2003, many senior players departed, giving Moxey and other trainees their share of first-team action. Dean was considered one of the best youth players to emerge during this period. Since his debut on 18 October 2003 against Conference side Woking, Dean has established himself as a first team regular.
On 8 January 2005 Moxey starred in City's 2005 FA Cup run against Manchester United at Old Trafford, where the squad earned a 0-0 draw, and a replay at St James Park. It was Moxey's stunning 50 yard goal against League One side Doncaster that had helped City into the third round.
In 2007/08, Moxey turned in a man of the match performance at Wembley to help Exeter City win promotion through the play-offs back to the Football League. At the age of just 22 years, that Wembley appearance was Dean's 150th for his home-town club.
