Dean Mathew Keenan (born 15 October 1985 in Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer currently playing for Ayr United.

Keenan grew up in Mosspark on Glasgow's Southside and attended Our Lady of the Rosary RC Primary School and later Lourdes RC Secondary School. As a regular and a stand out for both Primary and Secondary School teams a move into the senior game looked inevitable. Keenan began his footballing career at Clydebank where remained until the clubs demise. After leaving Clydebank he begin playing for amateur Glasgow side Pollock Utd. His spell at Pollock Utd earned him a move to Greenock Morton in 2002. He made his debut for Morton in a cup-tie against Queen of the South in 2002 and was subsequently shown a red card following his horror tackle on former Celtic winger Brian McLaughlin. Keenan has managed to become something of a cult figure among the Cappielow faithful with antics such as growing a 19th century style mustache for the team photo endearing him to the fans.

Keenan operates as either in defense or midfield.

He was loaned out to Second Division side Ayr Utd during the January transfer window in 2008. He joined Ayr permanently in May 2008. Dean has always been a very open minded man and decided with his fresh start at Ayr United.
