Dean Bowditch (born 15 June 1986 in Hertfordshire) is an English footballer who plays for Ipswich Town.
[edit] Career
He made his first team debut at just 16 when he came off the bench against arch-rivals Norwich City and played a pivotal role in winning the game. He quickly rose to fame the following season, becoming the youngest Ipswich player to score a hat-trick against Watford and winning admirers nationwide. A series of major injuries and lack of confidence saw Bowditch drift away from the Ipswich first team, seeing him loaned to Burnley, Wycombe and Brighton without much success. He is currently recovering from injury and has been challenged by boss Jim Magilton to show the kind of form the staff know he is capable of. On 22 November he signed a one-month loan deal at Northampton Town.
On the 11th February it was revealed that Bowditch had agreed to re-join Brighton on loan, initially for one-month.
