Dean, from the Late Latin decanus (chief of ten) is a title given to the holder of senior positions in various fields. Although not overly common, Dean is also a first name and surname.

- Dean (religion), persons in certain positions of authority within a religious hierarchy.
- Dean (education), the head of a division, faculty, college, or school in a university.
- The head of the Faculty of Advocates in Scottish law.
- Dean Foods, a dairy processor in Dallas, Texas
- Dean Guitars, manufacturer of guitars and mandolins.
The title is also given less formally to the longest-serving member of certain groups, as:
