[edit] Plot summary

Chevy Chase plays Eddie Muntz, an American arms dealer seeking to sell a high-tech military Unmanned aerial vehicle (The Peacemaker) to a South American dictator (portrayed by William Marquez) with the assistance of his partner Ray Kasternak (Gregory Hines). To seal the deal, Muntz asks his girlfriend (Sigourney Weaver) to sleep with the dictator. Muntz's efforts are complicated by Frank Stryker (Vince Edwards) who competes to make the sale himself, and by Ray's religious conversion.
