[edit] Patronage

In the article it states that Vegetius was probably under patronage of Theodosius, but the prefaces of the books in the English translation are addressed towards Valentinian, more than likely Valentinian II, who co-ruled with Theodosius. Is there any further evidence to suggest his patron?--2ltben 23:18, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

See Vegetius, where I have added some material on this point. -- llywrch 19:27, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
I have added a reference there and expanded the section a little, to make the two manuscript traditions clearer, I hope. This present article exists to please disinfoboxmakers: Vegetius and his manuscript can't usefully be separated. --Wetman 20:10, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
