Purchased from agent for estate of photographer, purchase including right to release for free use. Intent to post on wikipedia specifically stated and allowed. de Havilland DH86 Express ZK-AEG 'Waipawa' was purchased by Union Airways of New Zealand in 1935. ZK AEG is photographed flying over Dunedin before World War II. Impressed by the RNZAF as NZ553 the aircraft saw war service in new Zealand and Fiji, the aircraft saw service with Union Airways as ZK-AHW 'Korimako'in 1946, but was returned to the RNZAF before the end of the year and scrapped in 1947.
