[edit] Influences
The comic draws inspiration from many literary classics, like Cyrano de Bergerac and Molière's works, but also from many classic fables, fairy tales, and even modern pop-culture.
[edit] History and reputation
The first volume Le Secret du janissaire was published in 1995; so far, seven additional volumes have been released by editor Delcourt.
Although not among the most famous comic works in the world, De cape et de crocs has developed a strong cult following in many European countries.
