De Joux (car)

The De Joux was a New Zealand kit car maker based in Auckland and active in 1970 and 1971. The number made in uncertain but almost certainly less than 30.

The car, which was designed in the mid 1960s by Ferris de Joux, was created by bonding a two seater coupé glass fibre body shell to a Mini floorpan. The resulting car was lower and wider than the original but weighed 46 kg (101 lb) less. Unlike the Mini at the time which had side mounted radiator, the one on the De Joux was front mounted behind a conventional grille.
