De Cocksdorp (53°9′N, 4°52′E) is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Texel, and lies about 25 km north of Den Helder.
In 2001, the town of De Cocksdorp had 481 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.21 km², and contained 195 residences.[1] The statistical area "De Cocksdorp", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 550.[2]
