Hello, I am a Wikipedian (since 2005) and an administrator on Wikipedia (see log).[1] I was born on April 27 in Kiev (Kyiv),[2] Ukraine. I first came across Wikipedia through an internet search in October of 2005 and kept it in my bookmarks as a useful source.[3] I only became active since late December 27, 2005. If you have any photograph requests of Ukraine (Kiev, Crimea, Bukovyna), I will be happy to provide them.[4] Feel free to ask for help or to contact me on any issues.
On the English Wikipedia, I mostly contribute articles related to Ukraine (mostly architecture, Kiev, and Crimea), although I may stray off to other topics like Lviv, Donbas, Russia, and the United States.[5] Contributions that I am most proud of are the four Featured contents (St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery, Portal:Ukraine, House with Chimaeras, and the 1691 map of Kamianets-Podilskyi), two Good articles (Andriyivskyy Descent, Mezhyhirskyi Monastery, and Donetsk)[6]and the 32 Did you know articles. For my full list of contributions see here.
You can also notice that I sometimes lose enthusiasm about the topics I am writing about, which is why I have so many unfinished articles waiting to be published in the article namespace. Another recent one I started is the Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle—a nice start—but a lot to do before it gets published.
In addition to contributing to the English Wikipedia, I also commonly go to the Wikimedia Commons and the Ukrainian[7] and the Belarusian Wikipedia,[8] where I have written a couple of articles. Some useful links: Ukrainian portal (new articles, notice board), Crimean portal, and the Slovak portal.
- ^ See my RfA here.
- ^ I don't really understand why there is such a huge conflict over the name of an article. "It's not the name that counts, its the quality of the article." I wouldn't care if Kiev was named Kiev (Kyiv) and was at Featured status... Same with the 2,409,476 some articles in this encyclopædia. "It's not the quantity that counts, it's the quality."
- ^ My first Wikipedia article, Rusanivka,[link] written by IP adress 69.209.226.56.
- ^ I have a whole lot of photographs and images on the Wikimedia Commons, see my category here.
- ^ I used to only contribute to Ukraine-related articles, now I strive to give light onto those topics that are in terrible state (as of right now, the Kamianets-Podilskyi article) or onto those which were destroyed and later forgotton (Palmer Mansion in Chicago).
- ^ Donetsk was delisted after I failed to fix up the article.. I never even knew the article was up for reassessment..
- ^ I wrote a total of 12 articles on the Ukrainian Wikipedia, although most of them are stubs. For the list of articles, see here.
- ^ I was a temporary administrator on the Belarusian Wikipedia, while their were voting on their own admins. See my logo of actions here.
